Ex-PBA import in NBA Asia Challenge


MANILA, Philippines - Former Tanduay import Billy Thomas will join five other NBA D-Leaguers in reinforcing legends Dominique Wilkins, Vlade Divac, Tim Hardaway and Robert Horry against a 15-man PBA selection in the one-game NBA Asia Challenge at the Araneta Coliseum on Sept. 11.

Texters set to play top Serbian 5s


After its training camp in Las Vegas, reigning Philippine Cup champion Talk ‘N Text is set to leave for Serbia on September 1 to play tune-up games.
The Tropang Texters, led by guard Marc Cardona and playmaker Jimmy Alapag, will play a maximum of eight games against top-caliber professional teams in Serbia until September 15.

Ex-Los Angeles Lakers CJ Giles has finally signed a one-year contract to play as import – and possibly a naturalized player – for the Smart-Gilas developmental team preparing for various international events next year.
